Cherokee Health Systems Good Samaritan Clinic held an open house for the public in their new facility. Visitors participated in a reception and tours, seeing examination rooms, labs, therapy rooms and offices as well as the tele-medicine system. The staff answered questions about the operation, and before the visitor's left they had the opportunity to write best wishes outside the employee entrance in chalk.

Pellissippi State Community College Blount County Campus Grand Opening Ceremony

Pellissippi State Community College held a grand opening celebration for the new Blount County campus. A procession of faculty and staff entered the Denso Amphitheater lead by John Rose playing the bagpipes, where officials gave acknowledgments and spoke of the benefits of the new facility for the area. A ribbon cutting ended the ceremony followed by a light lunch and guided tours.
